JAG Marine Group is the parent corporation of four marine contractor subsidiaries operating throughout the United States: JAG Industrial Services, Inc.; JAG Fab & Welding; Inc. JAG Alaska, LLC; and JAG Ketchikan LLC.

On August 15, 2025, AIDEA’s Board of Directors selected JAG Alaska to take over operation of the Ketchikan Shipyard. JAG Alaska, LLC owns and operates the shipyard in Seward, Alaska.

On July 23, 2025, four weeks before AIDEA made its decision, articles of organization for JAG Ketchikan, LLC were filed with the State of Alaska. JAG Marine Group’s website advertises JAG Ketchikan, LLC, as the current operator of the shipyard.

Despite its name, JAG Ketchikan LLC is not majority owned and controlled by Alaskans. Corporate filings identify that its sole member/manager is JAG Industrial Services, Inc. JAG Industrial, in turn, is a Delaware corporation, led by President Douglas Huff, who owns a 60% of the company.

Huff is not an Alaskan. His primary residence is a mansion on a 2.19 acre property valued at $3.298 million, in Milton, Georgia. In addition to his Milton home, Huff and his wife own what is reportedly an 8,986 square foot cabin in the Blue Ridge mountains, valued at $1.652 million.

In 2025, Huff and his wife together gave $38,000 to political fundraising committees associated with Alaskan Senator Dan Sullivan (R).
